Endowment/Fund for the Future

Temple Beth El’s Fund for the Future Campaign is an ongoing campaign that was created to continue what we started when we built our wonderful new home, and to help ensure our future financial security.

The key goals of the campaign are: To build the Temple’s endowment and reserve fund. Our goal is to raise $1.5 million for the Fund for the Future. Each year, a portion of the earnings from this reserve fund provides support for our religious school, Temple programs and operations, and capital improvements. The balance will grow the reserve and provide protection against inflation and economic ups and downs.

In addition, a portion of the money we raise during this campaign will be used to enhance our building. The first priority, creating new Torah covers and an ark curtain, has already been completed. Two additional priorities include stained glass for the four tall “towers” on the bimah, and an extension of the portico at the main entrance to provide sheltered drop-off and pick-up. In keeping with our practice of financial responsibility, only 10-20% of the funds raised will be used for these capital improvements.

To date the campaign has raised a little over one-half of our goal.
We encourage everyone to participate. Those who came before us gave so generously for us to benefit. Now it is our turn to help secure the future of Temple Beth El for those who will follow.

Please contact the temple office with any questions you may have about our Fund for the Future.
