Welcome!
Welcome to Connie and Jim Grube, who moved to Lancaster about 1.5 years ago from Dallas Texas.

Connie was born and raised in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, about 2.5 hours northwest of Lancaster. Although a small town, Lock Haven had a long-standing Jewish community, with the shul being across the street from her high school. There she went to Hebrew School and had a confirmation (before girls had bat mitzvahs). She attended the University of Pennsylvania for two years, got married, and finished her degree in Education at Kutztown University. She was teaching primary grades K–2 in Middletown PA during the Three Mile Island nuclear accident.
Following a divorce, she married husband Jim. They moved to San Diego for his job as an engineer, where they lived for 20 years. While there she helped to develop a preschool for very curious and extremely bright children. A job transfer took them to Dallas, Texas, where James was an engineer designing large gas turbines for big oil rigs. After 20 years in Dallas, the Grubes retired. They decided to move back east to be closer to family, as James is from the Lancaster area.
The Grubes are the proud parents of two children and three grandchildren. Both of their children, Kristen and Michael, are married, and live in the Seattle area.
In her spare time, Connie likes to bake, volunteer, read and travel. Jim is very active with Habitat for Humanity, and also enjoys traveling.
We look forward to meeting and getting to know Connie and Jim, and hope they are enjoying their lives in Lancaster.
